THE FUTURE OF TAKEOUT
A Temporary Outdoor Exhibition
Pratt Institute and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation / 2018
The Future of Takeout is an exhibition presenting solutions for sustainable packaging for takeout food created in collaboration between Pratt Institute and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. The exhibition was designed as a self- supporting outdoor structure, causing minimal impact on the natural environment. The structure is built of cement forming tubes made of recycled paper. The tubes are stacked atop one another and joined with bolts forming a stable and durable spatial structure with a sculptural quality. As a part of Design Pavilion NYC, the exhibition was presented at Times Square in New York.
