PARAVANE
Partition Wall
Pratt Institute / 2018
Paravane, is a material and labor effective partition wall helping to organize and divide an open plan space. Its assembly doesn’t require any nails, screws or tools. The divider consists of a screen and two legs, all three cut out of a sheet of MDF. Due to slits, its components can be easily joined by sliding into one another. Paravane can be used as a freestanding structure. If needed, it may also be attached to a table or placed between two workstations. The divider was created for design studios at Pratt Institute, which need to be constantly rearranged.
