ZAKOSY is a family of wooden benches with an openwork structure. The material has physical properties and firmness similar to a wooden slab or glued wooden board but is created with less stock, which transfers to a lower weight. The technique involves numerical controlled cutting of solid wood into a curvilinear shape, which are shifted and laminated maintaining gaps in-between. Spaces between slats help to reduce amount of wood used for production of each board and the weight of the end product by more than 20%. The structure is entirely made out of wood and it maintains all its natural features.
