POLISH TABLE

Set Design and Temporary Exhibition

The Adam Mickiewicz Institute and the Museum of Food and Drink / 2018

Polish Table is an event presenting the traditions, products and culinary customs of authentic Polish cuisine. Through this modern ritual, audience members plunge into the world of nature and culture, bask in smells, tastes, and emotions, and are inspired to share their own stories. Created by Monika Kucia, Polish Table is part exhibition, part performance and part dinner; it aims to educate, entertain, surprise and bring people closer together through a celebration and exploration of Polish culinary traditions. The scenography and the exhibition were designed to cause minimal impact on the natural environment. The project is based on recyclable materials like paper and corrugated cardboard as well as existing displays offered by the Museum of Food and Drink.
